FAQ

Who is this event for?
This event is for mothers of all ages, stages, and lives who are looking for a day of self-care, rejuvenation, and gaining practical tools to support their well-being and enhance their quality of life.
Where will the event take place?
The Healing Arts Haven will be held in Crown Heights, Brooklyn. Upon registration, the exact address will be provided.
I’m not sure I can attend. Can I sign up on the same day?

Pre-registration is required by May 11th, and we will not allow walk-ins. Sorry!

What kind of workshops can I expect?
The workshops and programming will help you access wellness in mind, body, and spirit. Come dressed in comfortable clothes, be ready to move your body, get your hands a little messy, and engage with art, writing, and other reflective practices. The full schedule is coming soon!
Do I need to attend the whole event?
Ideally, yes—who would want to miss out on a full day of pampering and inner work? That being said, if you can only stay for half of the program, please reach out to us directly at info@thelongshortroad.com
Will food be provided?
We will provide delicious and strictly kosher breakfast, lunch, and snacks. If you have specific questions about the Kashrus, please contact us directly.
I want to support a mom who cannot afford to attend. Can I pay for someone else?
Yes! In the application process, you will be directed to identity whether you are applying for yourself or someone else.
I want to attend but cannot afford the fee.
That’s okay! We do not want cost to be a barrier for anyone. We are offering sliding scale and full scholarships for this event on a first-come, first-served basis. Please reach out to us for further support.
Will there be Jewish or spiritual aspects to the program?
Yes! That being said, you do not need to be Jewish or Observant to attend this event.
I'm not "creative" can I still attend?
This event is tailored to help you tap into your creative side (yes, it exists!), and learn how to use reflective practices to create emotional freedom and balance. Come with an open mind and spirit, and prepare to be amazed and what you’re “not creative” side can do!
What is "Resilient Roots"?
Resilient Roots is an emotional freedom and cycle breaking class for parents developed in-house by our director, Leigh Ioffe. During our time together, we will learn to utilize creative, bodily, and emotional techniques to achieve inner wholeness and wellness.
