Resilient roots
Healing starts at home
The Resilient Roots Project began with one vital question: How can this generation heal, so they don’t pass on their pain?
It was born from the realization that many teens in crisis couldn’t fully heal because their home environments lacked the same tools they were learning in therapy. Resilient Roots helps caregivers heal themselves first, creating healthier, more resilient families.
Launched in 2023 as a six‑week cycle‑breaking workshop for parents, it has grown into a supportive community for singles, parents, and parents‑to‑be, helping them build “learned security” through psychoeducation and somatic practices.

What our community says
“Leigh is a fantastic educator and guides the mothers through our journey as parents, how we can improve, and gives valuable insight along the way during this very informative 6-week course. I appreciate the low costs of this high-quality course.”
“Being a stay-at-home mother is often a lonely job. The emotional and physical labor is unlike all the jobs I've ever had combined. I often feel unappreciated in this role, and that the millions of tasks I take care of in a week can go unnoticed or be taken for granted. Programs like this one recharge my soul and give me fuel to continue this most sacred job for myself, my children, and society. I see nothing more important than supporting mothers in their role.”
“I found the Resilient Roots course enlightening. It has allowed me to take back the power and control over myself and my parenting. I have embraced my humanity and no longer feel lost in my roles. I am more confident in my motherhood, and I now have the skills and tools to move forward and create real change. I am so grateful for this course and, of course, to Leigh for teaching me, and I'm sure many others, how to be resilient.”
“The Healing Arts Haven was such a meaningful day. Such an incredible program on all levels, gashmiyus and ruchniyus. The food was incredible and nonstop. I felt so taken care of. I left the sessions feeling so grounded.I feel like I have more tools to be able to stay calm (even when my kids aren’t!). Thank you so much for giving me this opportunity.”
“An oasis in Crown Heights! Everything about this day was beautiful. From the workshops to having time to connect with other moms, the food, and having an outdoor space to enjoy. I didn’t feel like I was in Brooklyn. I am so grateful for the opportunity to have this day to fill my own bucket.”
“Thank you so much for investing in ME and so many others. Some days feel too much to handle, and I look forward to being able to use the tools I gather from this haven when needed. I've seen that gasping for air all the time doesn’t have to be the MO—thank you for caring!”
“I loved the way things were brought about and how comfortable all the experiences were. I appreciated the opportunity to just BE with other moms. The new experience with writing (which I did not like at first) brought things to light for me, and I saw things from a different perspective. This event was a heart opener, and there were a lot of opportunities to learn—everything was brought out in so many ways to help us tap into ourselves, and it was amazing.”
