About us
Healing is possible, and we don’t have to do it alone
A project of The Long Short Road, Resilient Roots offers spaces where people can process, create, and connect. helping individuals and families move from cycles of pain to cycles of resilience.

Founder’s note
I created Resilient Roots to address a significant gap I noticed in support for parents of struggling teens. While it may seem counterintuitive, the most effective way to foster resilience in our children is by strengthening our own inner resources. Resilient Roots has empowered dozens of families with the tools, support, and insight needed to develop healthier dynamics, build stronger connections, and begin healing intergenerational wounds.
Our core programs
A six-week course blending psycho-education, guided writing, group discussions, and somatic practices. Each week focuses on themes like personal narratives, self-compassion, and building tools for lasting change. This program is open to parents and parents-to-be.
Our parenting support program guides parents through the challenges their children face while also helping them navigate their own. We offer compassionate support, practical resources, and a listening ear. Whether the struggles are minimal or extreme, we provide a safe and grounded place to land.
Twice a year, we gather for a weekend retreat centered on art, writing, movement, and stillness, all rooted in our Resilient Roots curriculum. This retreat offers a sanctuary for creative healing and renewal, and a meaningful opportunity for mothers to connect, reflect, and restore. This program is currently offered to mothers and mothers-to-be.
